The fourth floor of the well-known building, previously home to Abbey Life, has been let to McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading retirement housebuilder which has taken a ten year lease.
The company have taken the whole of the fourth floor, made up of a large open plan office totalling more than 21,050 sq ft. The building is a major landmark on the central Bournemouth skyline and is located in the heart of the commercial area of the town only a few minutes from Bournemouth Railway Station.
Cowling & West represented McCarthy & Stone in negotiations. David Cowling commented: "This letting removes a sizeable proportion of the available quality office stock in the town. Bournemouth is growing short of good quality office space, although rents will need to rise significantly before any new development can be justified."
100 Holdenhurst Road comprises four floors providing approximately 96,000 sq ft of office space in total.
